Intention. Is it everything?
Some people say that the power of intention is everything! I'm not so sure that's it's everything but I believe that it has a lot to do with how situations can turn out. For instance, I can have good intention that I'm going to live to be 105 but does that mean it's going to happen? Not necessarily. There are lots of influences in this world BUT it can put a more positive swing on life. Although if I were to have the intention that I wouldn't see the age of 85 chances are that would put a negative swing on things and indeed I wouldn't see the age of 85.
I think that if you see nothing but the negative around you then you'll probably bring more negative to you. And just a well with the positive side of things.... the more positive you acknowledge the more of it you'll be blessed with! This is a lesson that I continuously have to work on.... because some days seeing the good is a hard thing to do. Keeping a journal of only the things you are thankful for helps bring the good out of the bad. If you do write down 5 things that you are thankful for everyday you'll absolutely start seeing more happiness - simply because you have to in order to write them down. And that comes back to Intention: if you have the intention to see the good then chances are it will not be as hard to find then if you think the whole world is crap. So why not atleast try to keep your intentions soaring high and see the positive life has to offer us while we're here?

Beliefs - Spiritual / Religious ?
I am Spiritual NOT Religious!
Some people make fun of that phrase but in my opinion there is a very real difference!
I was raised in a "Spiritual" home meaning that I was allowed to have my own views about God or have no belief in God at all so I've been pretty open to others ideas. I've been around and learned a little about several different "organized religions" and even though there were good things about each they all still had rules and regulations that didn't make sense to me.
There are so many "religious" or "spiritual"beliefs in this world! Certainly nobody could truly understand all of them even if they studied from birth to death BUT I would like to know why it is people believe in the things they do. For instance I believe in many different things : God (Universal Light/Life Source), Angels and Spirit guides, Intention, Meditation, Reiki and other forms of energy work....... I have lots more but you see my point. I'm just one person and I have tons!
One of my very favorite beliefs that does make more sense (to me) is that God gives us the power to help ourselves as well as others. Reiki is one of those ways. I happen to be a Reiki Master so I guess that's a pretty good thing to believe in! If you don't know what Reiki is, a very basic definition is : "A Japanese form of stress reduction and relaxation that can also facilitate healing." In other words you use your hands to provide Universal Light Energy to yourself and others for relaxation and healing. Reiki is becoming more wide spread and because it's a "positive" way of thinking it has to be a good thing! Of course Angels and Spirit Guides are given from God how could you go wrong?...... Exactly! You can't! They are a helpful part Reiki and so are the power of intension and meditation so it works well that I believe in them too!
I'm not trying to get people to believe as I do I just think if you're gonna believe in something why not believe in something positive?
